This Phil Lynott portrait is an original digitally designed artwork by Irish artist Richie Delaney, created by pushing pixels and using vibrant colours to produce a bold and dynamic finish.
Richie's contemporary approach gives the portrait its own distinctive character, using colour and digital composition to create an energetic interpretation of one of Ireland's most recognisable musicians.
Best known as the founder, lead singer and bass guitarist of Thin Lizzy, Phil Lynott became one of Ireland's most influential rock musicians. With songs including The Boys Are Back in Town, Jailbreak, Whiskey in the Jar and Dancing in the Moonlight, his music achieved international success and continues to influence generations of musicians and fans.
Born in Dublin, Phil Lynott remains an enduring figure in Irish music and culture. His distinctive voice, songwriting and stage presence helped establish Thin Lizzy as one of the great Irish rock bands.
Rather than creating a traditional painted portrait, Richie uses digital design to reinterpret Phil Lynott in a contemporary style. The combination of colour, pixels and composition creates a vibrant piece of Irish digital art that celebrates both the character of Phil Lynott and his lasting contribution to music.
