About The Brendan Behan Artwork
This Brendan Behan portrait is an original digitally designed artwork by Irish artist Richie Delaney, created by pushing pixels and exercising vibrant colours to produce a bold and dynamic finish.
Richie's contemporary approach gives the portrait its own distinctive character, using vibrant colour and digital composition to create an energetic interpretation of one of Ireland's most recognisable literary figures.
Known for his wit, rebellious spirit and unmistakable personality, Brendan Behan became an important figure in Irish literature and theatre. His writing, humour and larger-than-life character have ensured his lasting place in Ireland's cultural heritage.
Rather than creating a traditional painted portrait, Richie uses digital design to reinterpret Brendan Behan in a contemporary style. The combination of colour, pixels and composition creates a vibrant piece of Irish digital art that celebrates both Behan's character and his enduring influence on Irish literature.
The artwork is available as a Brendan Behan fine art print in A2 and A3 sizes.
