About The Ash & Honour Artwork
Ash & Honour is an original digitally designed artwork by Irish artist Richie Delaney, created by pushing pixels and exercising vibrant colours to produce a bold and dynamic finish.
Richie's contemporary approach captures the speed, strength and physical intensity of hurling, using vibrant colour, movement and digital composition to create an energetic interpretation of the modern Irish athlete.
The image portrays a hurler in action, capturing that split second of concentration, power and determination that defines the game. The combination of strong colour and expressive digital design gives the artwork a distinctive contemporary character.
Rather than creating a traditional sporting portrait, Richie uses digital design to reinterpret the hurling athlete through colour, movement and composition. The result is a vibrant piece of Irish sporting art celebrating both the athleticism of the player and the deep cultural heritage of hurling.
Ash & Honour celebrates the connection between sport, identity and Irish tradition — from the skill and determination of the individual player to the passion of the supporters who follow the game.
The artwork is available as an Ash & Honour fine art print in A2 and A3 sizes.
